The 3 color silk screen prints were done by the hard workin’ folks at The Half & Half… www.thehalfandhalf.com
I’ve been fortunate enough to be commissioned by Disney for a second time. This new assignment was to create an illustration based on the 1953 animated film Peter Pan for the ‘Good vs. Evil’ exhibition at the WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney® District at the Disneyland® Resort in Anaheim, California. This piece, entitled ‘Night Duel’ was inspired by the final action sequence in the film, where Peter and Captain Hook square off for a final time. This limited edition print was done by the team at The Half and Half. The piece is a four color hand pulled silk screen print on acid free 100# French Pop-Tone Blu Raspberry Paper with a 100 weight. The image is approximately 36” tall x 15” wide. ‘Night Duel’ debuted at the WonderGround Gallery this past Saturday.
New brush & ink rough sketch of a new personal illustration I’m working on.
Good news! I recently was in touch with the Cash estate about producing this kid’s book I produced as a thesis project in grad school. The bad news due to production costs & copyright issues with the song it’s based on it won’t get made. Still Johnny’s old manager said he thought it was funny. Check out this short animation I did for it. Excuse it’s a bit archaic… http://seescotty.com/Johnny-Cash-Animation
Scotty Reifsnyder Studio tour
We’re really excited to share Illustrator Scotty Reifsnyder’s studio with you!
Scotty has long been one of our favorite Illustrators; his digital, angular work looks really cared for and not sterile, like many digital illustrations. Scotty teaches at UPenn and has worked for clients such as Disney, Eminem, GQ, The New York Times, and Wired.
Disney asked me to do a second Mickey Mouse themed illustration for the WonderGround Gallery opening next month so I went with a art deco playing card theme. I had letterpress man extraordinaire @stmjr print this 3 color card. Photos courtesy of Sam Fritch Photography.
Ace of Diamonds card illustration/design for a collective art playing card project 52 Aces. I did this for German based publisher Zeixs.
Here is a real life print! Gotta love French Paper! Photo creds to the fine folks at The Half & Half.
