I’m excited to announce I’ve had the amazing opportunity to have been commissioned by Disney to create an illustration based on the Pixar/Disney film The Incredibles! This piece, entitled Here Kitty, Kitty was inspired by the first action sequence in The Incredibles film, where Mr. Incredible is en route to a crime scene when an elderly woman enlists his help to retrieve her cat, Squeaker from a tree in a nearby park. Printed by team at The Half and Half, this four color hand pulled silk screen print on acid free 100# French Whitewash Construction Paper is approximate 30”L x 13”W. This piece will debut at WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney® District at the Disneyland® Resort, June 9, 2012. This new uncommon art gallery will is home to unique art collections from a generation of new artists. To find out more about WonderGround Gallery visit the DisneyParks.com/Blog or www.ArtofDisneyParks.com. Check out some of my other works in the coming weeks, that will also be display at WonderGround when it opens.
This illustration is for my Deep Sea submission for Ferocious Quarterly. The working title is, “Never kidnap a mermaid b/c she may be related to a giant squid”.
